Disco Party Blog

Hi!
I’m having a 16th party this April and I just wanted some advice!
The theme is Bollywood/Hollywood and it was going to be a disco thing.
I’m unsure about how to make it look good though. What kind of decorations should I have?
I’m having a DJ, who should play a good mix of songs so that’s sorted. I don’t want a lot of food, just snacks. What would be good?
Also I have a probelm.
NO BOYS AND NO ALCOHOL.
And family will be there so it can’t be crazy! I’m inviting my whole year and I don’t want them to think or find it crap! They have parties with boys and stuff so how can I make it more fun?
I want them all to enjoy themselves… not find it boring or restricting!
Please help!

if i had a party i would have a dj, rides, and about 100 of my close friends.

i was thinking of going to new york, or atlantic city with 3 friends and shopping and going out to eat. but i dont really want to do that..

I’m planning a big party for my 17 bday. I was thinking of having a black and white club night theme. I have a really big back yard so i’d have it at my house. I’d get a dj and a big projection screen and hook it up to gitar hero. Is this a good idea. Any sugestions?

I wanna have fun, not just sit around and be the DJ! And iTunes is too expensive. And I don’t wanna hire a DJ! HELP!

Arrgghh I am so stuck!
Right, just saying this info now, I live in england and your answers are going to be ignored if you say anything bad about alcohol. You will just be wasting your time typing an answer because it will not change anything.

Okay, my birthday is in less than a month and I really wanted to have a party which involed alcohol, a dj and bouncers but when we totalled it all up, it came to £400. (way too much)
My mum is suggesting just having a few friends and go out for a meal but I don’t think that sounds fun, and I have different gruops of friends and I just feel like it wouldn’t work.
I was thinking of a sleepover but, chances are, someone will bring alcohol and I just wouldn’t want my parents to see my mates drunk (which is why i thought the big disco party would work because my parents would only set up and clean up at the end - they wouldn’t be there for the party. The bouncers would keep things safe)
So I have nooo idea what I want to do. Unfortunately I am in a group of friends that think the only way for them to have fun is to get drunk.
I’m also thinking of maybe having boys at the party, but then that can limit things. But then i don’t always think it is as fun when theres no boys.
What did everyone do for their party??? Or do you have any ideas??

Hey im turning 14 and plan to have my party either the 12th or the 19th. i have a theater in my house, a very large playroom that can hold lots of people, and lots of room in my house. i also dont really want to stay at my house the entire time unless i find something reeeeally entertaining. i want about 25 people to come. please dont suggest a plain dance party either. i had a DJ at my last one. sorry it’s so detailed! oh yeah, boys and girls. i w

dont give me software, i got it, and i know how to remix. what kind of hardware do i need to get a party going a mixer? turntable? cd player?
